The team, consisting of medical personnel who know sewing at İzzet Baysal state Hospital, started the production of medical masks in the tailor's workshop created in the hospital during the fight against the Corona virüs
Bolu İzzet Baysal State Hospital, which took action to find a solution to the increasing demand for masks with the emergence of the new type of coronavirus in Turkey, started to produce masks with volunteer healthcare workers who know how to sew. An average of 500 medical masks are produced per day in the tailor's workshop created at the hospital, with a team of 8 healthcare professionals who know how to sew. The masks produced are packaged after the process in the sterilization unit and offered to the service of the hospital staff.

Providing information about mask production, İzzet Baysal State Hospital Chief Physician Op. Dr. M. Mustafa Gürdal said, “With the emergence of the corona virus infection in Europe, the need for medical protective equipment is increasing day by day in the field. In order to meet this demand, we wanted to meet the increasing demand in the field by using our own means.By making a plan with the devoted work of our staff, we started the production of medical masks from around 400-500 protective equipment with our 8 staff per day. Hopefully, we will increase our production capacity even more in the coming days. With the devoted efforts of the employees at all levels of our hospital, we will fight against the epidemic together in our province," he said.

Saying that the medical masks made in the hospital are under the market price, Chief Physician Op. Dr. Gürdal said, ''All of out employees are our own personnel. We have created a working team of 8 people from out experienced friends in sewing. The medical masks we buy from outside are not sterile. After the processes are compled, the sterilization of the productions in the relevant unit can also be ensured. We give it to out staff in a sterile from. We cost 1/10 of the current price in the market. This has been an advantage for us. We currently have masks in stock. We prepare them as spares in case our masks in stock run out and connot be supplied. At the moment, we are in a position to meet the need in the field, both in out sock and with the masks we Produce''
